Taiko Master from Sado Island, ]-Yosuke-[ facilitates workshops where experienced taiko players and beginners alike can grow and notice their own growth.
His workshops aren’t about learning through imitation. Instead, they focus on the originality of each individual. Yosuke’s strength lies in teaching people that taiko players don’t need to fit into any certain mould.
Through his workshops, he shares his vast experience and passion for taiko. People may think he is teaching is own style of drumming, when in fact Yosuke’s workshops are an opportunity for participants to uncover their own personal style.
Taiko players often get injured but Yosuke has never had an injury. He says that’s because he wants to make sure he can continue playing taiko with power and grace. According to Yosuke, the safe way to play taiko and the beautiful way to play taiko are connected.

Taiko On did it again 🎊 - successfully cheered hbf runners, and completed our own 2 HOURS YATAI BAYASHI MARATHON. 2 hours went past so fast, I hope everyone enjoyed our Taiko, WE DID!!!!

Japanese Restaurant LAPUTA has opened at 1 Barrack Square!! It was pleasure playing Taiko in the opening ceremony. Laputa is the first Japanese Tatami style buffet restaurant to be introduced to Perth. All of the food were so delicious❤️must try!

Yes!! we've got a awesome experience with hbf runners, and complited our own 2 HOURS YATAI BAYASHI MARATHON. We came to encourage the runners but eventually got a lot of energey from them. It was absolutely Marathon Matsuri!! (Matsuri=festival in Japanese)Thanks for the great vibes!!

Taiko On had a special performance this Saturday at the Charity Film Festival - Outdoor Movie Night at Burswood Cinemas, prior to the exclusive release of the film “Unindian”. The movie event is open for public, and all profit goes directly in supporting children’s charities.

Taiko On has performed in the 2015 Weekend Japanese School Festival. It was such a beautiful opportunity to play Taiko as a part of the Weekend Japanese School cultural event. Hope everybody enjoyed our Taiko performance! We could see lots of excitement in kid's eyes while playing Taiko and Taiko workshop. They might be future Taiko On members!!

A performance on behalf of the Japan Gold Metal Association who were in Western Australia to visit the local mines. They invited Taiko On to show something very Japanese to the WA gold mine industry personnel at their banquet dinner.
It's safe to say, we were received very well by both Japanese and Australian clients and we all had a lot of fun sharing the Japanese drumming love!
